The Bay Colony Shakespeare Company is proud to present 'Hamlet'!
Set in the world of 17th century Denmark. A Prince returns from his studies to mourn the loss of his father the King. What set out as a mournful homecoming turns into a journey that unravels into what can only be seen as universal madness. His father murdered, his mother remarried, his country threatened by a foreign power as well as collapsing into domestic revolution, his lover turns against him, his friends betray him, his Father pays him ghostly visitations, and above all he must face what truly matters--to fight for all that his honor and beliefs hold true, and to gain his own salvation he must be prepared to lose it all, including his mind.
Streamlined and fast paced we present one of Shakespeare's greatest tales woven into a world of warriors, courtiers, scholars, maidens, scandal, sex, intrigue, war, betrayal, murder and revenge.
We will be bringing the production to The Chevalier Theatre in Medford and Priscilla Beach Theatre in Plymouth as well as additional venues TBA. We are also traveling to several schools on the South Shore, Cape Cod and Boston area. see you at the show!
